At Mohegan, there is a three step behavioral process when it comes to discipline (though there are some situations and behaviors that require immediate referral to Administration). This three step process allows our staff to work with the student through the "restorative" process. This process assists in building relationships and at the same time, works to repair harm and restoration to relationships that may have been damaged. This occurs through, engagement, explanation and expectation clarity. With this being noted, there are times that require immediate removal from school (out of school suspention). Mohegan incorporates the "4 2B" throughout our daily operation of the school day. These concepts are Motivation, Respect, Accountability and the need to be Prepared and On Time, all characteristics of an emotionally, socially and academically prepared individual. Is it our hope, that within our students' lives these concepts will be reinforced by others.
